Dutch Blitz uses its own special four-deck set (see the Amazon link below) — not a standard deck. It's for 2 to 8 players (the base set covers 2–4; the Expansion Pack adds up to 4 more). Everyone plays at once, no turns: each player races to empty their own 10-card Blitz pile by playing cards 1-2-3-4-…-10 (by color) onto the shared Dutch piles in the middle, while also shuffling cards between their own Post pile and three Wood piles to keep finding plays.
Play is simultaneous and fast — when nobody can make another move, everyone stops and counts up. Enter each player's counts on this sheet: how many of their cards made it onto the shared Dutch piles, and how many are still stuck in their Blitz pile.
Each round's score is 1 point per card played to the Dutch piles, minus your Blitz-pile penalty per card left in the Blitz pile (default 1 point; switch to the classic 2-point penalty in Options). Keep playing rounds until someone's running total reaches the winning score you set in Options (default 75 — 101 and custom values are also available for a longer game). If more than one player crosses the target in the same round, whoever has the higher total wins.
