How to play

Five Crowns uses two special five-suit decks with Jokers (see the Amazon link below if you need a set) — not a standard deck. It's for 2 to 10 players and has 11 rounds: round 1 deals 3 cards, and each round after that deals one more, up to 13 cards in round 11. Each round has a wild rank that matches the number of cards dealt — 3s are wild in round 1, all the way up to Kings wild in round 11.

On your turn, draw a card and try to arrange your hand into books (3 or more of the same rank) and runs (3 or more cards in a row, same suit), using your wild cards to fill any gaps.

As soon as one player can arrange all but one of their cards into books and runs, they go out and the round ends immediately. That player scores 0; everyone else adds up the points left in their hand — number cards are face value, J = 11, Q = 12, K = 13, that round's wild rank = 20, and Jokers = 50. After 11 rounds, the lowest total wins.

Scoring: enter the points left in your hand at the end of the round (0 if you went out). Number cards = face value, J = 11, Q = 12, K = 13, the wild rank = 20, Jokers = 50. Lowest total after 11 rounds wins.
